St. Seraphim sponsored a fund-raising dinner for the women of the church. The money earned went to help renovate the bell tower.

The men did all of the preparation, cleaning and serving for the dinner and served a great meal of chicken parmesian on a bed of pasta.

Fr. Stephen Freeman, Dean of the Chancery, spoke to the group about "Believing in God."  A good time was had by all.

Special thanks to Sub Deacon Michael for arranging the meal, the great cooks,  Melanie Wheeler for the party favors and the gifts, and to Joanne Sutton for the great flower arrangements.

What are we going to do without you three? In one week, we lost Christia to Georgia Tech (Congratualations we are proud of you!),  Bethany to Indiana University Graduate School (Wow! You go Girl!) and Robert (who married Paige the Great and moved to Lexington, KY). 

That is quite a loss for us. All three of you worked hard with us and for us and helped us grow.  BUT we are going to consider you our missionaries. Out there helping other communities know that Orthodoxy is alive and well in Memphis, TN and in the U.S.
